As per the statistics, 4500 fatal accidents and 90,000 disabilities have been recorded in the year 2009-2010 in the European countries. Therefore, the objective of this article will be to focus on the various types of accident characteristics and how they can be prevented to increase safety (Jorgensen 2016). Assessment of safety and risk in the chemical industry The research should aim at the construction, negotiation and reproduction of safety and risk at critical work environments. Safety and risk management is not only the responsibility of the employer but also it is a cumulative addition of various factors of communicative means and institutional practices.
